Domaine de Monteils
What time can we arrive and leave?
The check-in time for your accommodation is indicated in your booking confirmation.
In most cases, arrival is from 4:00 pm and departure before 10:00 am, to allow us enough time to prepare the apartment for the next guests.
How does the check-in work?
You will be personally welcomed by the owners, who live on site. A detailed guidebook in your accommodation explains how everything works and includes plenty of local information.
Throughout your stay, we are available for advice, activity suggestions, and to provide a true concierge service.
Do we need to bring our sheets or towels?
No. Bed linen and towels are provided, including bath towels and kitchen linen. For stays longer than a week, fresh linen is provided once a week.
For your clothes, a laundry room is at your disposal with washing machine (detergent provided), dryer, ironing board, iron, and drying rack.
Do i find everything to cook in the kitchen?
Yes. Each kitchen is modern, new, and fully equipped with everything you need – just like at home.
Is breakfast included?
No, unlike bed & breakfast accommodation, our self-catering rentals do not include breakfast.
However, Nespresso coffee is provided free of charge, and a bakery only 5 minutes away offers excellent bread and croissants.
The village of Quissac (5 minutes by car) has everything you need: grocery stores, supermarkets, banks, post office, doctors, and one of the largest pharmacies in France.
You will also find many shops in the medieval town of Sommières (10 minutes away).
How far are the nearest shops and supermarkets?
How about restaurants?
There are several excellent restaurants within 5 to 15 minutes’ drive, offering great value for money. Our favorites include L’Artysan in Quissac, Le Comptoir de l’Évêque in Sauve, and Le Patio in Sommières.
There are also Michelin-starred restaurants located 20 to 45 minutes from the Domaine, and we would be delighted to book the best table for you.
Where can i park my car?
Private parking is available inside the property. On request, you may also use a locked garage for your car, motorbike, or trailer.
Can i recharge my electric car?
Yes. Two fast-charging stations (7 kW + 11 kW), compatible with all vehicles are available. The first charge is complimentary.
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed. We made this decision after our first year of activity in order to ensure the comfort of all our guests. An exception applies to guide dogs and certified assistance dogs.
Is smoking allowed?
All accommodations are strictly non-smoking indoors. Smoking is permitted in outdoor areas such as your private terrace, the park, or near the pool. Please be considerate of other guests.
How is the internet access?
Free High-speed Wi-Fi is available.
Depending on the accommodation, connection speeds range from 50 to 150 Mbps, even with the very thick stone walls of the property.
The Wi-Fi connection is available outdoors as well, on your private terrace or by the pool.
Do you have apartments suitable for guests with reduced mobility?
The apartments Suite Margot and Rêve d’Evan are on the ground floor (two steps at the entrance) but are not suitable for wheelchairs.
The “Villa Océane” is wheelchair accessible and partly adapted. Please contact us for more details.
Yes. Many scenic walking paths start directly from the Domaine, offering views of vineyards and rolling hills.
Your guest companion guide includes a selection of cycling routes and hiking trails, complete with detailed maps.
We provide bicycles and mountain bikes free of charge, and electric bikes are also available for rent. More info
Are there walking or cycling routes from the Domaine?
Are the spas available year-round?
Yes, and using the jacuzzi is especially pleasant in the cooler months.
Each jacuzzi is cleaned and refilled before every new stay and heated to 37°C.
How about the swimming-pool?
The main pool (11m x 5m, depth 1.50m) is open all year round, though not heated, and is generally used from May to September. It is reserved exclusively for our guests and offers a calm, relaxing atmosphere.
The private pool of the Villa Océane is heated from April to October.
Do you speek English?
Frederic speaks fluent English while Richard understands only a little.
Can we rent the entire Domaine?
Yes, the estate can be privatized for a stay (weekly rentals in high season, or a minimum of 2 nights in low season). The maximum capacity is 14 people (7 accommodations for 2 guests each).
Our Domaine is not suitable for receptions or events such as weddings, but it is perfectly suited for honeymoons or peaceful romantic holidays.
Is Domaine de Monteils Gay friendly?
Absolutely. In fact, it goes without saying. Around 20% of our guests are LGBT+. We foster an atmosphere of respect, openness, and inclusiveness, so that everyone feels perfectly at ease throughout their stay.
How do we find the Domaine?
It’s very easy. Detailed directions will be sent with your booking confirmation. Domaine de Monteils appears in most GPS systems. Simply enter “Carnas” as the town and “Monteils” as the street. Your GPS should display “Domaine de Monteils” or “Lieu-dit Monteils”.
